We are proud to offer the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program, a transformative college and career readiness initiative. AVID equips students with the skills and support they need to excel in rigorous academic environments and achieve their dreams. Through personalized learning plans, a dedicated AVID elective class, and a school-wide commitment to excellence, our students develop critical thinking, organization, and leadership skills.

Early Childhood Education is a core value at Holaway and throughout the Amphitheater District. We provide free all-day kindergarten and offer Imagine Preschool on our campus. Our youngest students learn through hands-on activities, imaginative play and age-appropriate academics, developing essential skills in literacy, math, social-emotional growth, and more, all in a safe, caring, and joyful environment.

Our school is proud to offer a one-to-one laptop program, ensuring every student has access to their own device for learning both in and out of the classroom. This initiative supports digital literacy, enhances collaboration, and gives students the tools they need to succeed in today’s tech-driven world. With access to cutting-edge educational software, online resources, and interactive learning platforms, our students are equipped to think critically, create boldly, and stay connected in a modern learning environment.

At Holaway, and in the Amphitheater District, we believe in the promise of every student, and we promise to deliver the educational experiences children need to grow and flourish, from the first day of their kindergarten year to the day they walk across the stage and earn their high school diplomas. One of our core missions is to deliver on the Promise of a Graduate, instilling eight key skills and characteristics in our students as they grow from year to year. Those qualities are Scholarship, Creative Thinking, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, Caring and Citizenship.
